CAPTURE FROM THE ACA CONFERENCE: The CICC celebrates the impact of public-private partnerships and honours key players in the Matching Grant Fund (MGF) mechanism
On the sidelines of the 19th Annual Conference of the African Cashew Alliance (ACA) in Accra, a high-level panel brought together representatives from Ghana, Tanzania, Benin, Sierra Leone and Burkina Faso. Under the theme “Leveraging Mutually Beneficial Public-Private Partnerships: Lessons and Experiences from FGM Projects”, this session highlighted the structuring benefits of this financing and the achievements that no single actor could have achieved alone.
A strategic synergy crowned by the commitment of the CICC
The result of the dynamic collaboration between GIZ (through the MOVE-ComCashew project), the European Union, the OACPS and the BMZ, the Matching Grant Fund (MGF) supports several projects across the continent. As a leading institutional and strategic technical partner in the process of selecting, evaluating and monitoring these initiatives, the Consultative International Cashew Council (CICC) is the key catalyst for the local transformation of Africa’s grey gold.
It is therefore quite natural that the CICC took on a role of honor during this great meeting in Accra. In recognition of its unwavering involvement alongside the actors in the field and its constant technical support in the evaluation and success of these projects by its experts, the closing of the panel was marked by a strong moment of emotion and celebration.

To crown these exchanges rich in lessons and salute the resilience of entrepreneurs in the sector, Mr. Bazié Luc Odilon, representing the CICC, officially presented the trophies to the panelists from the various partner countries.
This symbolic distinction recognizes the operational excellence of the beneficiaries and illustrates the strength of international cooperation to transform Africa from a simple producer of raw nuts to a world leader in processing.
