Installation of the CICC Technical Bodies: Launch of the 2026-2028 Mandate in Grand-Bassam

From February 11 to 13, 2026, in Grand-Bassam, Côte d’Ivoire, the Consultative International Cashew Council (CICC) launched the second term of its three technical bodies with the installation of its new Commissioners, who held their first ordinary session. These bodies—the Scientific Conference, the College of Agricultural Production, and the Commission for the Promotion of Processing—serve as platforms for scientific exchange, discussion, and policy formulation related to the agricultural production, processing, and promotion of the consumption of cashew nuts and their derivatives, in order to guide the CICC.

Co-chaired by the current Chair of the CICC, Minister of Agriculture of Guinea, represented by Ms. Nima Bah, and the Minister of Agriculture of Côte d’Ivoire, represented by Professor Jacques Yao Daté, the meeting provided an opportunity to review the first term (2023-2025) and to discuss actions to be implemented for the period 2026-2028.

At the conclusion of the meeting, which enabled the three bodies to adopt their action plans and roadmaps, the 43 delegates from the 12 member countries, 37% of whom are women, officially took office, with the election of the governing bodies, 40% of whom are women.

The CICC wishes these commissioners an excellent term, working towards a resilient and competitive cashew sector, with greater added value for member countries and stakeholders.
